I've decided to not buy any new GW chapters(only have proph n factions) untill they shape up. and equalize the playing field. They really opened up a can of worms with this not retrofitting the old chapters of the game...They're F'ing stubborn and need to be whipped a bit.

I would suggest a mass boycott, but you fiends would never stop long enough for anet to notice.

If you're dumb enough to buy FoW or 15k armor, it's your own damn fault it's not upgradeable. Or dumb enough to NOT buy Nightfall.

So wanting expensive armor in the skin and stats we want makes us idiots ?

Edit to add: What about those that bought their expensive armor before Nightfall came out ?

thats a very closeminded attitude to have, surely making all the artworks available to be insignia'd as people want and giving more choice is a good thing?

/signed, its too expensive and it takes too much spaces to have all kinds of different armors. Tho with PvE requirements are usually not that stringent. having optimal sets would still be nice tho.

Unlike this fella here, I think adding insignias too other campaigns is a great idea, not only creating balance, but also giving collector's of armor something to look for. I know some die hard PvErs who would love for some of their suits to become useful in the battlefield.

Surely insignias at all rune traders should not simply be for convenience, sort it out ANet!

This can be done and is absolutely no rason not to do it.

Most probably next campaigns will use this new system, so old ones must be updated too. Not only armors, but inscriptions and new upgrades too.

They may do it like they did with the 'Xunlai Representative' adding it later to the other campaigns, but doing it is a must, no matter how much you think about it.

I have 15k Pyromancer's on my Elementalist, 15k Druid's on my Ranger, and 15k Gladiator's and 15k (made a mistake with this one >_<) Platemail. Now I don't see how regular 1.5k Nightfall armor should at all be superior to the 15k armor which we worked extra-hard for. I mean sure, technically the 15k armor is the exact same thing as the 1.5k armor, stats-wise, but at the very least 15k armor should be just as good as 1.5k armor. I desperately want my 15k Druid's to be Insignia-compatible. :\

Takes away from the unqueness of each chapter, not to mention that if you were going to do that, then all current armor sets would need to be change to inscribable, and all known weapons would need to be changed as well.

The only way it would work is to make sunspear armor avalable in other chapters.

Anet was able to remove those bugged axes that allowed you to upgrade them with two hilts, so clearly they have the capacity to change things on a grand scale.

What else are we supposed to do with the gold adding up in our storage boxes?

It makes us stupid for wanting good looking characters and not wanting to buy a bunch of accounts to hold gold? 15k armor gives you something to spend money on.. which in turn gives you a reason to play because you need money... i would have been done playing this game a long time ago if it werent for rare skin weapons and Ascended armor. I needed to play to get money and buy my armor and weapons.

I believe that it would open up some variety in the armor people wear. i believe some of the original 15k armor is the best looking. (male monks) I would like nothing more than to buy some platemale for my warrior and Studded Leather for my ranger and be able to mod them how i want.

I bought my 15k Monk tats before Factions even came out. I also bought Factions and Nightfall. Why am I an idiot for wanting my 15k tats to be custmizable like my Elite Sunspear armor?

ANET has changed existing items before, so they are able to do so again. Though in this case the script to do the changes will need to be a bit more complex (more variables to remember) and will take quite a bit longer to run due to there simply being way more armor sets to change.

Or ANET could simply modify the armor crafters to produce insignia armor (and the Canthan and Tyrian drop tables to make enemies drop insignias) and let people buy new armor or stick with their non-insignia armors. Just make a new item by coping the stats from a NF armor and the skin from elsewhere, then tell the armor crafter to produce it.

Based on ANETs history with changing pre-existing items, I'm expecting that we will see the crafters changed to produce insignia armor in one update, with the change to existing armors coming a few months down the track after ANET is finished making sure the script is bug free.

And even in such a process at grand scale would be too much for servesr, they could always add an NPC that upgrades the items for during some months.

You talk to the NPC and any items in your inventory are updated.
People would be warned, so it would be your fault for not to enter the game for 6 months or so.
